Move your Sarasota business website to a platform your team can actually manage, with every page, image, and URL accounted for. I currently run Contentful-to-WordPress migrations for a U.S. government agency, and I bring the same checklist to a twelve-page local site.
Most migrations go wrong in the details: redirects nobody mapped, images that silently 404, form submissions that stop arriving. My process starts with a full content and URL inventory, maps every content type to its new home, and validates the result before anything goes live. You see the new site on a staging URL and approve it before cutover.
01Full content and URL inventory of the current site
02Content model mapping (pages, posts, products, custom fields, media)
03Automated import with validation reports, not copy-and-paste
04301 redirect map and metadata carried over page by page
05Accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) and performance check before launch
06Staging review, scheduled cutover, and a rollback plan

WebsitesforSarasotabusinesses
Sarasota has a strong arts, hospitality, and professional-services economy alongside the usual coastal trades. Businesses here often have an established site with years of content and rankings worth protecting, which makes careful migrations and redesigns, not from-scratch rebuilds, the right call more often than not.
Many Sarasota organizations have years of content on an aging platform: event archives, articles, program pages, and the rankings that come with them. A migration is the careful way forward. I inventory every page, map old URLs to new ones, move content without losing formatting or images, and validate redirects before launch, so the history that brings visitors in keeps working.
Who I build for in Sarasota
Arts, culture, and nonprofitsEvent calendars, ticketing or donation links, and accessible design matter, because the audience spans every age and device.
Tourism and hospitalityVisitors plan on phones, often from out of state, so fast pages, clear directions, and booking links decide who gets the reservation.
Professional servicesLaw, financial, and medical offices need a credible site with clear practice-area pages and contact paths that respect privacy.
Coastal trades and home servicesA page for each trade and area, plus a simple quote form, turns local searches into calls.

04 — Questions
Commonquestions
01Can we meet in person in Sarasota?
Yes, when it helps. Most Sarasota projects run remotely by video call and email, and I can meet in person for a kickoff or launch review.
02We have years of content. Can you keep it?
Yes. Preserving existing content and rankings is the core of how I handle migrations and redesigns. Every page is inventoried and either kept at the same address or redirected, and nothing is removed without your approval.
03Can my staff still edit the site afterwards?
Yes, and usually more easily. Part of the handoff is a short training session and written documentation for your team.
04Will a migration hurt my Google rankings?
Not if URLs, titles, and content are preserved and redirects are in place. That is the core of my process. Temporary ranking movement in the first weeks is normal; losses come from missing redirects and dropped content, which the inventory and validation steps are built to prevent.
05Which platforms can you migrate from?
Contentful, Squarespace, Wix, Weebly, Drupal, Joomla, static HTML, and older or hacked WordPress installs. Destinations are usually WordPress (often with WooCommerce) or a Next.js site when you need a custom application.
